About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including AP, AR, and general ledger entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
  • Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Maintain organized and compliant financial documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data
  • Support external audits and tax preparation as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills and understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in small to mid-size business environments
  • Familiarity with payroll processing
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting tools and automated workflows
